BILATERAL PRONATOR QUADRATUS MUSCLE VARIATION

Purpose: The aim of present report is to emphasize the pronator quadratus muscle variations and its clinical importance for the surgical and electrophysiological procedures. Methods: The abnormal pronator quadratus muscle was dissected carefully and photographed and its figure was drawn. Results: Pronator quadratus muscle had similar shape bilaterally. An aponeurotic structure coming from the superficial head joined to the anterior surface of the distal part of the radius. Conclusion: Anomaly of the pronator quadratus muscle has an importance for its usage as a vascularized tissue fleb and for as a cause of the anterior interosseus syndrome.
