A case of a rare benign ovarian stromal tumor which was seen 21 years old pregnant woman is presented; its clinical, histopathological and immunohistochemical characteristics are discussed. 21 years old gravida of 14 weeks gestation was explored because of rapidly growing 6x7 cm in size ovarian solid mass. Histopathologic diagnosis was sclerosing stromal tumor of the ovary. She had no complaint of menstruel irregularities before pregnancy. Tumor markers were within normal limits. There was no clinical or hormonal evidence for active androgenic hormone secretion. Immunohistochemical staining showed positive vimentin reaction, positive smooth muscle actin reaction and pozitive desmin reaction. Sclerosing stromal tumor (SST) is a benign entity seen in younger age groups and gives the impression of malignant tumor because of its solid and vascular nature. Also it is commonly associated with menstruel irregularity and history of infertility because of hormonal secretion in some of the tumors. We present this case report because sclerosing stromal tumor is a very rare condition in pregnancy and our case report is the seventh one which was detected during pregnancy in the literature.
