Objectives: Non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTE-MI) patients may be managed with either percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). This study compares clinical, hematological, and echocardiographic characteristics between these two groups. Patients and methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 120 NSTE-MI patients, with 60 undergoing CABG and 60 undergoing PCI. Demographic features, laboratory values, echocardiographic measurements, and angiographic SYNTAX scores were collected. Results: The mean age was higher in the CABG group. Baseline ejection fraction (EF) was significantly higher in PCI patients, and the change in EF during hospitalization (DeltaEF) was more pronounced in the CABG group. SYNTAX score was significantly greater in the CABG group. Conclusion: CABG-treated NSTE-MI patients showed higher anatomical complexity and greater EF decline. Several correlations between hematological and functional parameters were identified.
