Objective: Today, indications for thyroid surgery have significantly narrowed. Factors such as the increase in the number of experienced cytopathologists, the performance of biopsies by clinicians, and the significantly improved evaluation of ultrasound have contributed to this. Due to the increased reliability of needle aspiration biopsies, multiple biopsies can be performed, especially in patients with indications for re-operative surgery, and many patients can avoid re-operative surgery. We aimed to investigate the indications for re-operative thyroid surgery in our clinic by evaluating the pathology results and complications of patients who underwent re-operative thyroid surgery.
