Objective: This study is conducted to determine the knowledge, opinions, and attitudes of midwifery students regarding education and counseling based on the philosophy of hypnobreastfeeding. Material and Method: This descriptive-cross-sectional study population consists of 250 students studying in the midwifery department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Kafkas University and is carried out with 168 students. The data are collected by using a 2-part information form between April and May 2024. The data are analyzed using SPSS 27 software. Frequency and percentage calculations and chi-square significance tests are used in the data analysis. A significance level of P < .05 is accepted. Results: The average age of the participants is 21.71 +/- 1.59, and the majority of them have been studying in the fourth grade. A total of 7.7% reported having prior knowledge of the philosophy of hypnobreastfeeding, while 92.3% indicated that they have learned its definition through this study. Additionally, 83.3% of the students expressed a desire to receive education on this subject at school, and 77.4% of them stated they are unaware of the benefits of hypnobreastfeeding. A statistically significant relationship is also found between those unaware of the benefits of hypnobreastfeeding and those who have not received training related to breastfeeding (P = .004). Conclusion: The majority of students have no knowledge about the hypnobreastfeeding and express a desire for education on the topic. Differences in knowledge levels regarding hypnobreastfeeding and breastfeeding are found based on students' academic years. It is deemed necessary to provide adequate education about breastfeeding counseling and hypnobreastfeeding during undergraduate studies.
