Massive antibiotic therapy, even with the most powerful modern drugs, does not lead to a cure for the disease with a carbuncle of the kidney without opening and draining the purulentnecrotic focus. Establishing the diagnosis of carbuncle of the kidney provides for urgent surgical intervention.
