Introduction: This study was designed to examine the metaphorical perceptions and cognitive structures of individuals with lymphoma towards parenting. Methods: The research was conducted as a qualitative study based on metaphor analysis. Data were collected from 20 individuals with lymphoma after obtaining ethics committee permission, using a semi-structured interview form investigating the metaphorical perceptions of individuals with lymphoma towards parenthood and a form that was asked to be explained with the drawing technique. Results: It was determined that the individuals with lymphoma who participated in the study created 3 metaphors for parenting with the writing technique and 2 metaphors with the drawing technique. Writing technique and drawing technique were determined as the themes. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it was determined that individuals with lymphoma had anxiety about parenting. In addition, it was determined that individuals with lymphoma had negative and positive cognitive schemas about parenting.
