The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between the positive schema, emotion regulation and rumination levels of emerging adults. Personal information form, positive schema scale, emotion regulation scale and rumination response scale were used to collect data in the study. The study was carried out with emerging adults who continued their education and graduated from different state universities in the 2020–2021 academic year. Participants consisted of 270 people, 210 (77.8%) women and 60 (22.2) men. The average age of the participants is 21.19. In the data analysis of the study, correlation analysis, simple and multiple regression analysis and t-test were used by using IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program version 23.0 package program. According to the results of the research, there is a low level negative significant relationship between the positive schema total scores of the emerging adults and the sub-dimensions of rumination and obsessive thinking; It is seen that there is a moderately positive and significant relationship between positive schema total scores and reevaluation, one of the sub-dimensions of emotion regulation. Self-efficacy, achievement, optimism and worthiness levels from positive schema and positive schema sub-dimensions of emerging adults explain 32% of reappraisal from emotion regulation sub-dimensions, and trust levels from positive schema sub-dimensions explain 5% of suppression levels from emotion regulation sub-dimensions. Suggestions were made based on the results of the study.
