Objective: This study aimed to investigate the associations between adolescents' attitudes toward generative artificial intelligence (AI), social media addiction (SMA), and digital gaming addiction (DGA). Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 380 adolescents aged 14-18 years who presented to a pediatric outpatient clinic in İzmir, Turkey. Participants completed the Generative AI Attitude Scale, the 7-item Digital Gaming Addiction Scale, and the Social Media Addiction Scale. Results: Male adolescents had significantly higher DGA scores, while females had higher SMA scores. No significant gender difference was found in generative AI attitude scores. A weak positive correlation was observed between SMA and positive AI attitudes (r=0.202; p<0.001), whereas no significant association was found between DGA and AI attitudes. Age and BMI were not correlated with addiction or AI attitudes. Conclusion: These findings suggest that SMA may be associated with more favorable attitudes toward generative AI, while DGA appears unrelated. Gender differences exist in types of addiction. The results may contribute to health and education policies addressing adolescents' digital risks and opportunities.
