Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the increase in scabies cases that we have observed in our region in recent years and changes in the frequency of scabies. Materials and Methods: All patients who applied to Elazig Fethi Sekin City Hospital Dermatology Clinic between January 2019 and December 2021 and were diagnosed with scabies were evaluated retrospectively. Age, gender, citizenship and application dates were obtained by anonymizing from the hospital database. Results: Scabies was diagnosed in 2898 of a total of 191925 patients who applied to the dermatology outpatient clinic between 2019-2021. It was observed that there was a statistically significant increase in the frequency of scabies patients in this period (χ2:296.158; p=0.000). It was observed that the frequency of scabies increased gradually in the last three years (0.95%, 1.75% and 1.99%, respectively). The disease was significantly more common in males than females (p<0.001). The mean age of the patients was 27.52, 27.74, 26.78 by years. There was no change in the mean age of the total patients and the mean age of the male patients over the years. However, a significant decrease was found in the mean age of women (p<0.001). According to age groups, the incidence of scabies was highest in patients between the ages of 15-44 for each year. When the quarters of the year were evaluated, it was observed that the frequency of skabies increased significantly in the last quarters and reached its highest value in the last quarter of 2021 (p<0.001). Conclusion: It was detected that the frequency of patients with scabies in our region has been increasing gradually in the last three years. It was determined that this increase was the most in 2021 and in the last quarter of the year.
