Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and intercultural communication and empathic tendency levels of the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Material and Methods: The sample of the descriptive and correlational type study consisted of 772 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The data of the study were collected between 16.06.2024 -12.07.2024 by using Personal Information Form, Emotional Intelligence Trait Scale, Intercultural Effectiveness Scale and Empathic Tendency Scale. Results: In the study, it was determined that the students' Emotional Intelligence Trait Scale (98.81+/-19.2), Intercultural Effectiveness Scale (64.07+/-7.84) and Empathic Tendency Scale total mean scores (67.91+/-7.75) were above the moderate level. A statistically significant difference was found between the students' total EITS, EIS, and ETS score averages and the variables of marital status, department, and voluntary department selection (p<0.05). It was determined that there was a significant positive relationship between Emotional Intelligence Trait Scale and Intercultural Effectiveness Scale (r=.391; p<.001), a significant positive relationship between Emotional Intelligence Trait Scale and Empathic Tendency Scale (r=. 397; p<.001), and a significant positive relationship between Intercultural Effectiveness Scale and Empathic Tendency Scale (r=.387; p<.001). Conclusion: The findings suggest that higher emotional intelligence among students is associated with increased intercultural communication effectiveness and empathic tendency.
