Background: Round cells observed during spermogram evaluation are thought to have the potential to affect pregnancy outcomes. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of round cell density on pregnancy outcomes in semen samples of patients who presented to our assisted reproductive treatment center with male factor or unexplained infertility. Methodology: A retrospective study was conducted on men who applied to Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Gynecology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Assisted Reproductive Treatment Center for in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI) between 01/02/2022 and 01/01/2023. A total of 98 cases were analyzed: 75 diagnosed with male factor infertility and 23 with unexplained infertility. Statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0, and p-values less than 0.05 were considered statistically significant. Results: No statistically significant difference was found in round cell density between patients who achieved pregnancy and those who did not in either the male factor or unexplained infertility groups (p=0.140 and p=0.919, respectively). Conclusion: Our study found that round cell density did not influence pregnancy outcomes in cases of unexplained or male factor infertility.
