VACTERL is defined as a combination of at least 3 of the following: vertebral defects, anal atresia, cardiac malformations, trachea-esophageal fistula (TOSF), renal anomalies and limb anomalies. Apart from these main components, some other congenital anomalies may accompany the cases. The incidence is estimated to be between 1/10.000 and 1/40.000. Many syndromes with common clinical findings have been described; therefore, the differential diagnosis is quite broad. The patient we followed in our clinic is a case between Holt-Oram syndrome (upper extremity cardiovascular syndrome) and VACTERL with premature multiple congenital anomalies born with an unplanned pregnancy.
