Phlebectasia is a term describing an isolated saccular or fusiform dilatation of a vein without tourtuosity. Jugular phelebectasia is an entity that is being increasingly recognized in recent years. There is a controversy about etiology. Histopatologic studies also are distinct in literature. This paper reports a 15-year-old girl complained of intermitant non-painful right neck swelling while speaking loud or straining. The patient was followed for two years uneventfully. After two years of follow-up the patient began to complain about cosmetic problems. Surgery was offered and the patient rejected surgery.
