This study investigated the knowledge levels of mothers of hospitalized children aged 0-3 years about diaper dermatitis and the influencing factors. To this end, a descriptive methodology was used to interview mothers of children aged 0-3 years who were hospitalized in the pediatric clinic of a state hospital in southeastern Turkey. The data were collected using the "Descriptive Characteristics Form" and "Parent Diaper Dermatitis Information Form (PDDIF)" prepared by the present researcher. In the evaluation of the data, percentage, mean, Mann-Whitney U test, and Kruskal-Wallis test analyses were used. The results revealed that 93.3% of the mothers correctly answered the statement "Changing the child's diaper late causes diaper dermatitis," while 68.3% incorrectly answered the statement "Maternal antibiotic use in breastfed children causes diaper dermatitis." In addition, it was determined that some aspects of mothers' knowledge about diaper dermatitis were influenced by factors such as the mother's educational status, place of residence, and the father's educational status. Although most mothers correctly answered certain questions regarding diaper dermatitis, a significant proportion provided incorrect answers to other items. These findings suggest that mothers' overall knowledge on the topic remains suboptimal.
