Pilonidal sinus is a condition usually seen in young adults and manifest itself by discomfort. Many surgical methods have been used in the treatment of pilonidal sinus disease. In this article we present our clinical experience of "Rhomboid excision and Limbergflap transposition" technique as a reliable treatment method in a series of 253 pilonidal sinus patients with results and in comparison with other techniques. The patients were followed up 12 months minimum and 4 years maximum (mean 32.6 months). Mean hospital stay was 2.8 days and mean time until return to work was 12.9 days and postoperative early complication rate was 3-2%. In the follow-up period, recurrence rate was 1.9%. As a result, compared with other surgical methods "Rhomboid excision and Limbergflap transposition" is a successful technique in the treatment of pilonidal sinus disease.
