We reported a case with cystic mass in the abdomen detected by prenatal and postnatal examinations. As it is not always possible to describe the definite pathology of a cystic mass with radiologic examinations, operation can be performed to find the reason. In this case, we discussed, with current literature, the differential diagnose, follow-up and operation criteria of the multicystic dysplastic kidney disease if the diagnosis was indistinct.
