Ozone therapy induces oxidative stress and regulates cellular antioxidant defenses. It can be administered using methods such as rectal insufflation, autohemotherapy, and local injection. A literature search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar using the keywords "ozone therapy," "medical ozone," "oxygen -ozone therapy," and "ozone applications." Studies published between 2000 and 2025 were reviewed in this narrative clinical review in accordance with SANRA guidelines. Due to its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory effects, ozone therapy has various indications ranging from infections to chronic inflammatory diseases. It is administered under medical supervision in accordance with legal regulations in many countries, including Türkiye. Research on standardization and dose optimization is ongoing to improve clinical efficacy.
