We retrospectively reviewed perinatal records of HbsAg carrier pregnant women between 1st January 2002 and 31st December 2002 at our hospital. The prevalance of HbsAg carrier state in pregnancy was 3.4%. We concluded that hepatits B antigenemia does not pose any additional risk for the pregnancy.
