the widespread use of such easily accessible, cost-effective markers in clinical practice will substantially and positively impact the management of DR patients, and perhaps other pathologies. Literature search revealed increasing white blood cell count, neutrophil count, and NLR values, and decreasing lymphocyte count in DR patients. However, no significant difference was found in terms of demographic characteristics.
