Acute myeloid leukemia is a clonal stem cell disease. Various molecular targets are being sought in this disease which has a low chance of cure. However, it is desired that targeted treatments should have few side effects. We tried to understand whether the embryogenic peptide ELABELA, which has been closely associated with many pathways involved in cancer mechanism, is a peptide worth investigating in targeted treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia.
