Congenital abnormalities of trochlea and patella, with insufficient groove and flattened patella, explain some cases of dislocation of patellofemoral joint. The aim of this study was to present the results of our technique for radical surgical treatment of permanent patellar dislocation due to patellofemoral dysplasia. In this technique, Fulkerson's oblique osteotomy is applied to proximal tibial tuberosity. Another anterior based longitudinal close-wedge osteotomy is performed on patella, preserving patellar cartilage. The third osteotomy is done to augment the antero-lateral part of the trochlea.
