The uric acid/albumin ratio (UAR) has recently emerged as a potential marker for oxidative stress and inflammation in various cardiovascular diseases, including myocarditis. Elevated uric acid levels are known to be associated with adverse cardiovascular outcomes, while albumin has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The UAR combines these two markers, potentially offering a more comprehensive assessment of disease severity and prognosis. This study investigates the utility of UAR as a biomarker for determining disease severity in patients with acute myocarditis. We hypothesize that a higher UAR is associated with more severe disease manifestations and poorer clinical outcomes. By exploring this relationship, we aim to provide clinicians with a novel tool for risk stratification and management in clinical practice.
